172 question

hello all, i have a bit of a stupid question for you all . On the dash there is a green light in the shape of a gearstick, its on the left hand side of the dash near rev counter. i havent got a clue what it means i had a look though my handbook but its no help . Told you it was a stupid question

It means change the gear, its a shift light and it comes on just before the limiter cuts in for the engine

It seems to come on a little late for me, as soon as Ive noticed it, thought ok change gear Ive hit the limiter!!

But Ive only had it two days, maybe I just need more practice

if you are changing gear late then you will only notice it flash up as you are shifting, you shouldnt wait for it to flash by that point youll be bouncing off the limiter before you can change quickly. and remember its not an optimum shift light, its a "change gear now you tw*t" light

To be honest though, when youre booting it that much you just need to be feeling when to change gear.
