172 radiator

the radiator on my clio 172 went today, tried some rad weld but had no luck. do you know whether the 172 rad is different from any of the other models i.e. 1.2, 1.4, 1.6?

it depends if you have 172 or a 172 cup?

172 Cup is the same as 1.6 dynamique with aircon

otherwise the 172 is on its own as far as I remember.

When you say gone?? I take it you mean leaking?? If the fins are still in good condition & its still cooling adequately & its not blocked why dont you just whip it out & get it brazed or soldered where its leaking??

On exchange about £120 list price ish cannot buy a normal one from memory there exchnage only.

They crop up on eBay from time to time, they are not too hard to change. Are you sure its not leaking from the lower pipe?
