172 Rocking/loose drivers seat

The driver’s seat in my 172 is a bit loose feeling and rocks back slightly when I accelerate and brake. There’s not a huge amount of movement but theres more than there used to be and its really annoying. Anyone have this problem and/or know of a fix ?

Ive searched the forums and found a thread with the topic Rocking seats. This talks about the problem I have and refers to a past topic about squeezing the runners but I cant find that one.

Any help would be much appreciated

Have you checked all the bolts and nuts. Theres 4 under the car and 5 or 6 underneath the plastic covers so Id give these a shot first.

My passenger seat became loose and rattled whilst driving. I took it back to Renault, and they replaced the seat runner FOC.

I had this, just took it back to Renault.

Same here. A few weeks later it was exactly the same. Now I make sure I have someone sat in the seat!!!

I asked about this at service and they found the bolts had come loose, sorted most of the moment but there is still some there! Will have to sort it out next time I can be arsed too.

yea i couldnt be arsed.. but il get it done the same time as both electric windows are rattling !

Same as mine!! Creaks when operating, and rattles when just open. Been back to Renault once already. Still the same now...

lol.... mine doesnt rattle anymore.... but its that f**kin tight and hardly ever clicks back into place properly. I sh*t the life out of the missus one day.... had to brake hard, and her seat moved forward and locked into place.... ooopss.... bloddy french rubbish!! LOL!!

yes mine does exactly the same, i.e rocks slightly, f**king irratating really
