172 SPRINGS.

  307 hdi (powered by derv)

Hi folks i require so help from u wizz kids out there.

Two questions:

1) If i was to put 172 springs on my dynamique would it improve the handling?

2) Would it make the car lower?

Many thanks

Clioman

Yes and yes, not sure if they fit though. It would probably be cheaper to get aftermarket springs. I know being low is really cool and everything but really you need dampers, which spax do (together with -35mm springs)

I would be interested if anyone could confirm this too. I have a spare almost new set of 172 springs and a standard 1.6 dyn and was thinking of fitting them too. Problem is you dont know untill youve gots things apart! My gut feeling is that they would fit if the spring/seats are the same diameter? I reckon they would give about a 30mm drop over standard?

Perhaps a Reno Tech can answer this one?

mate i think your clio has 4 springs

172 would be overkill

Im going with no purely because otherwise surely 172 coilovers and springs would be available for the whole Clio range otherwise.

Phone k-tec, theyll know.
