172 Stalling on start up

This is just starting to develop, sometimes when starting the car up the revs sit at about 200RPM then dies, unless i help it rev up. Once its stalled once its fine...

Ideas?

Start... Bounce.. Bounce.... Die?

Mine does this. Commonly coilpack as far as I know but mine still does it now I've changed that so could be spark plugs etc.

yeah pretty much, starts tries to get up to idle speed and then dies.

Mine does the same. Cleaned the throttlebody, changed the tdc sensor and its still the same. Although ive been told the ecu may need reprogramming due to replacing parts etc

Mine used to do this ocasionally, pretty much everytime when cold. I bought a rs tuner, mapped the car and its started flawlessly ever since, also significantly reduced the lumpy idle stopping the car shaking when sat in traffic Then also the added bonus of the remap

I have the same problem . Start the car, starts ok , revs up to 1500 and slowly decreases to 1000 rpm , and then dies. Same thing happens if start again , only if I rev it up for 20-30 s ,then the problem dissapears . Anyone have an ideea of what it could be ?
