Urgent- Clio 182 not starting at loton park

URGENT - Clio 182 blowing 30A engine management fuse, crank no start at Loton Park


Hi all, currently stuck at Loton Park hill climb and need some urgent help.


Car completed a run fine, but when I got to the top and slowed down the engine stalled itself while still moving. Since then it will crank but not start.


Symptoms:

• Cranks strongly
• No spark/fuel
• Rev counter does not move while cranking
• Electronic fault light on dash
• 30A engine management/injection fuse blows instantly as soon as ignition is turned on (before cranking)

Things checked:

• Found loose gearbox earth strap and reconnected it
• Checked battery terminals
• Checked crank sensor plug
• Unplugged lambdas, alternator, coil pack and injectors one by one
• Still blows fuse instantly

Seems related to injector lockout/injection relay circuit.


Does anyone know common places on a Clio 182 loom to short/blow this fuse? Need to try get it going today if possible.

Fuse blowing instantly indicates a short to earth. Lambda wiring all good pre sensor and not melted etc? Try unplugging vvt etc in the off chance something has died and shorting out.
