172 tyre choice - min profile

Standard size is 195/45/16 - any views on going down to 40 (or less!)?

Have been happy enough with T1-S so looking for similar characteristics/price. Was thinking of 539s but theres some strong views about these on here!!

Doing low mileage/road only at the moment but will probably take the next set on track...

I would by Eagle F1s or Exalto PE2s mate with the autumn and winter fast approaching.

40 profiles will be fine, i wouldnt go less as the ride will get harsher imo

I have had 215/40 16 and they were very good fitted ok on the rim great performance and just a little smaller rolling radius.



PE2 and GSD3 is the only choice particularly in the wet.
