172 windscreen querie

To look at my windsreen its a blue tinge colour but there is a square box shape at the bottom of the windscreen directly in the middle of the car thats brown and not blue, any idea what that is there for ?

It's a gap in the reflective coating to allow those automatic toll booth card things they have on the continent to work.

Ah thats what it is, it had me totally confused. It looks like someone took a sticker off the window LOL thanks for that

P.S whats the coating for

I think it's supposed to reflect the sun to stop it heating up the car so much in direct sunlight.
