172 with sat nav..... is it out of date?

found a 2002 reg clio 172 im going to go see, it has built in sat nav? just wondering if its actually any good or is it out of date and rubbish? are they colour or not? cheers

It depends on what disc it's running, they need updating. They run a vdo dayton set up, it is fine, but it doesn't allow you to put in postcodes. They are colour yeah.

Yep, put in the town then go from there. It's not that bad tbh.

Yep it is accurate, my old boy has it in his car, I got him an 07/08 disc for it, if there is a way of putting in postcodes he doesn't know about it.

i had my bosses car for a week the other week had the vdo one as standrd and no post code finder but still very good, just had to put town and street name insted of postcode, still easy tho

I would imagine you can downloads the disks for free much like you can the BMW sat nav disks

They are £120 or so iirc, although I got my old boys one (new) off ebay for about half that.
