Just fitted the new Coilovers. Camber is now sensible and drivshafts no longer try to exit through the gearbox :S



Car still needs a few little niggles sorting out, but WOW! Just took it for a spin up and down the local ring road and fcuk a duck!! Its proper proper quick! Couldn't stop grinning!

Would have fitted the new fuel pump but Euro car parts delivered me a fuel level sender. f**king idiots.

Need to go and swap that over tomorrow and then its off for pre-mot!

Pump is leaking from the top where I bashed a hole in it as it needs 20-30 whacks before it fires into life. Not idea! lol.

I (probably completely wrong! lol) wanted the F1s as they're a more open design and will get a little bitmore air to the brakes.

That and they've just been powdercoated so look like new!

Oh, the phone call yesterday, as I went to of fit my 172 bumper and stop that sticking brake, I discovered I do not have the locking wheel nut in the car??? LOL!

No. It needs some rusty steelies with badly fitted halfrauds covers on it, a Comic Relief nose on the front and a God squad fish on the back.

Cheers for the offer dude, but I don't do secondhand stuff anymore! Nothing against you, but everytime I've bought secondhand its packed up after a week! lol.

I bought FK konigsport coilovers. (Williams fitment) Bloody brilliant! Seemed a shame to put something so shiny and sexy on such an old and battered car!

Mark - I contacted a few companies about it after some research into a Mk2 Escort quick rack, as there seems to be tons available for them. The internals are pretty similar but obviously not the same. To make the price even worthwhile would have needed 30 people......what company are you planning on using?

Hopefully it wont be like mine and Matteh's, we thought they were very quick and then we had 1.4/1.6 maps on the ECU....it was twice as fast afterwards...its only one wire to connect to get it working

Well if its got the 1.4/1.6 map on it I had a plan up my sleeve anyway...

I was going to send it to RS Tuning, get it sorted and remapped at the same time as the inlets will be getting done soon.

Yeah thats one sure way of doing it, Paul would just fit an Emulator before mapping it and you'd never have a problem again
