175/65/15 winter tyres

just a quick one, this tyre size fit ok on a 172 cup lowered slightly or would i be better off with 60 profile? going on my 15" steelies

I'd go for 185/55/15 or 195/50/15.

Sorry to hijack, i know my options are limited as far as 16' winter tyres go what is the max profile i can go to on a 182 ff not lowered

i was under the impression the thinner the tyre the better and also the taller profile the better?

175/60/15 has a rolling radius that is similar to your current summer tyres (I'm assuming they're 195/45/16?). If you go with the 65 profile, it's quite a bit larger. I'd be going with the 60 profile myself.

got 205/45/16's on at the minute, but guess that makes no difference, will 175/60's perform better than 185 55 as atated below?

Oh right, well the difference between 205/45/16 and 175/60/15 is pretty much nothing.

I believe that narrower tyres will perform better, but I'm no expert.

might just go for them then mate, asides looking s**t they should get me through any snow as the current hankook rs2's wont
