How many beers you had?

yes it is possible, but you may split the skin a couple of times, blood may be shed, and could be a painful experience

serious reply now then

right, assuming you dont want to go down the obvious route of fibreglass pods

the best bet would be to make a spacer ring out of mdf, which in turn will be bolted onto the door card, meaning the magnet goes in to the existing hole and you have enough width to mount a bigger speaker

if that makes sense to you

exactly

ive got 2 17cm speakers in each door, just spaced out with some mdf, then had to cut the door about a bit, but if you dont mind the hassle well worth it, like someone says though if you just space out using some sort of mdf ring, the thicker the better, then your speaker will be further away and therefore the magnet should fit through the gap! hope this helps

Kenwood dual mags 17cm fit straight into the 13cm hole on a clio, been there, done it.

I have 17cm Polk Momos in my doors and they have the biggest magnet ive ever seen, the magnets did not even fit through the 13cm hole. I cut some metal away to make them fit.

Where did you find those?

Do they fit onto the clio? Does anyone know what the max speaker depth is in the door using the standard hole (i.e. no pod or spacer)

... they dont fir the clio sport, but they will make custom enclosures for the clio, on request, for about 300 pounds/pair
