182 alarm question

Sorry about the above, dodgy typing finger!!

Think the alarm on my 182 might be bust can anyone help.

When you plip the doors closed and set the alarm does it beep? Every now and then I get three beeps when I plip the doors, does anyone elses do this?

Also, Ive tried setting the alarm with the plip and then opening the car with the key. Surely this should set the alarm off, but I just get a buzzing sound from the engine as if the alarm siren is knackered. Has anyone tested their alarm this way and if so did the alarm sound?

Need to know cos Im going back to dealer on Monday to have my cd changer fitted and if the alarm is bust it will give me something else to shout at them about!!

My cup only beeps when you unlock the doors and open them too quickly. Oh and if the door hasnt closed properly. Doesnt do any of the stuff u mentioned. Id ask them to check it out to be sure.
