182 Cambelt interval

My turbo 182 was due a cambelt on time in March just gone. There is a track day I want to do next month in it, would you risk it? It’s probably done 1500 miles if that in that time so it’s purely due on age.
I only ask as I see the Megane interval is 6 years now.

Be fine, check the aux belt as that's the killer.

Mine was several years past due when I sold it.

Changing belts at 5 years for less than average use is a con

Good point, I’ll stick a new aux belt on it as it’s only about a 2 minute thing to do with no a/c.

On a serious note, I’d keep an eye on the condition of it purely because of the extra stress from the turbo.
