182 Cat vs sportcat

Is there any gains to be had by fitting a sportscat to a 182?

I heard before that the standard cat on a 182 isnt that restrictive in comparison to a 172 cat? Am I right in thinking it is similar to a sportscat

Wouldn't bother mate. Waste of money. 182 cat is 200cell, sport cats are around 100. Gains will be very minimal

I think 172cat is 300cpi and 182 is 200cpi...not much point in going down to 100cpi...and the benefit would be minimal for the outlay.

182 basically has 2 sport cats, one after the other in one box

Probably not much gains but my sports cat/exhaust combo loves backfiring on the over run. Worth it just for that imo ha.

about £300 give or take. Well worth it if you have to fit a replacement for a damaged one as the genuine 182 one is almost £2500
