182 creaking front wipers

just started tonight - creaking noise from front wipers - just read a thread about stapped wipers!!! any ideas folks??

only 900 miles!!!

mine used to creak wen they were new (20th feb this yr)

dw, theyll stop, might even b stuff they put on the windscreen?

sounds more mechanical to me - hope they dont break coz it means a trip to renault!!!

mine did the same thing - take it in they just need adjusting (bolt tightening up)

This is more common than you think,

Does the noise seem to come through your whole dash and make a noise only when the wipers reach the end of each travel before turning back????(kind of high pitched squeek,not like a sticky wiper blade)

yes , the noise comes through the dash , just as u desribe - if its common renault should be able to sort it?!?!

Ok here gos

Remove the wipers,lift the bonnet and take off the black plastic cover that sits under your wiper blades.Behind this you will see fixing points for the wiper arms to sit on.The passenger side of the car has a small stump if metal sticking out and a rubber grommet attached ,This has either slipped off or is faulty,it causes the metal of the wiper to rub on the wiper arm and send ear peircing sounds through the dash.Slip the gromit back on or ring renault and they will do it
