182 handbrake cable

Just pulled on drive,pulled handbrake and it's come right to the top on the last notch.

It seems to be holding the car fine but I'm guessing one of the cables snapped.

Are the cable's exactly the same on both sides?...Also its going in for a service in April - is it best to get it fixed asap?...as said it seems to hold the car fine.

Ive been quoted £70 to replace both the cables with me providing the parts.

Does that seem about right?..Was told its that much with the rears being callipers and need re-bleeding.

it a 1 hour job, £70 is a bit steep

They are £25 a side from Renault, has to be dealer only? Is that right Fred?

Yea i thought it was a little steep.

Ive got both cables from wests off here just ringing round to see how much id be looking at to replace them.

What sort of price should i be looking to pay?

J they are not at all difficult to change. Have a go. You might just surprise yourself.
