182 import?

  Titanium 182
Well in the end i didnt buy the car, didnt think it was that well looked after, had a fair few scratches on it, dent he told me about was more like a crease about 10" long, and the tyres were some really cheap replacements.

the boot looked like it had been painted as there was like a finger marks under the laquer, he said the car was always garaged but blamed all the scratches on cats!

so im still looking for a 182! thats the 4th one iv seen and i can honestly say the people that have owned them havnt looked after them at all!

i can live with little dings and scuffs on the wheels but the ones iv seen so far have been poor!

wanna sell me your 182 Maz? lol

TBH if your looking at paying around 7.5 k for a 182 it will be a bit rough imo. Some people well under value cars on here, just look in the trader for a more realistic price. Its worth paying that bit extra for the long run imo. I would never buy an import either. Its off putting to future buyers. If there were two identical 182 for sale, 1 UK and the other an import, it would be UK every time.

Not on the trader...... they tend to be the older rougher 182's for that money. As said above people well under value motors on here.

I don't think 7.5k is an unrealistic price for a good 182 . Maybe alot of people over value theirs when they try to sell them on autotrader , not realising just how much the depreciate in such a short space of time .

Keep on searching Dean . I'm sure you'll come up trumps soon .

It can be colour dependent too. Also i would only ever buy standard, have you though about changing wheels back etc?

^^Deprecation in such a short space of time is an understatement .. lol

I would rather burn my car than sell it for £7k

For a good low miler in MINT condition with warrenty your looking at 8-8.5k easily

I agree with that Gaz .. but for that price would have to be 12k or under imho

not looking to spend any set amount of money, iv got around 10k to spend, just saying iv been to see a few, iv seen an 05 reg for 9k, 55 plate for 10k and a trophy also for 10k and they hav all be full of dents or badly kirbed wheels and scratches, the 182 i seen on a 55 plate looked like it had never been serviced also judjing by the colour of the oil and that was in a garage.
The trophy was missing its splitter had a burn in the seat and was full of stonechips which told me that he didnt care about the car that much!

id prefer to buy privately from a good owner so i know the person that owned the car and how they have looked after it!, i can live with dents that can be removed and some kirbing to wheels as these kind of things are can happen to any car owner.

but like i say iv got the money to get the right car! but after what people having been saying about the prices of 182s and them not selling i would like to get one for 8 to 8.5k so i can have a good holiday or something with the change!

Interesting take on prices here.

I have upto maximum of £8400 to spend.

I want a 182 with suspension pack in Black, Silver or Dark blue. Must be 04 or later. Pref 05, less than 30k miles.

I am off to look at a 27k one later, 54 plate and expect to get it for around £8k- if not less.

I just went up to a dealer in Burton and was told I was out of order offering £8400 for the same car but on an 05. Best then would do is 9500 and I am a cash buyer LOL.

On the trader within 60 miles of me there are plenty 2004 and 2005 cars with less than 20k for around the 8.5k mark.... but none have the cup suspension which is important to me.

  Titanium 182
yeah im having the same prob no cup packs but theres barely any within 40 miles of me on the trader, most are over 80 miles away but the auto trader isnt very accurate cars always seem to be around 30 miles further away than they say!

  172
LOL- I cant honestly say I have ever encountered that problem BUT I do find the autotrader website- in terms of the site its self.. the most un reliable piece of s**t ever.

Thats what i was getting at. A fully cup packed car is more desirable, you wont find one with less than 20k for under 8.5k ;)

  Titanium 182
right got a new car which im thinking about going to see, but again this is 200 miles away!

05 Reg, £9k, 1 owner, uk car, silver both cup packs, 16k miles, 1 months tax.

Right- it wasn't quite as clear LOL...

I dont mind travelling or haggling and I only want the suspension anyway- the rest is likely to get in the way.
