Ring Renault customer services and get them to give the dealer a bollocking. Then take the car to another dealer, I take it its still under warranty?

They all run a bit rough from cold in my experience, particularly in the summer months for some reason.

  M2 Competition
Aye, for the first two minutes or so, mine runs rough. Rev the engine a couple of times, smoothes it out a bit.

Something to do with the o2 sensors or something iirc?

They don't idle when cold but your sounds worse than that so get it checked could be a number of things.

The idle is down to emmisions regulations.

  Deja vu 182
My car idles a bit lumpy when cold and if i drive it straight after starting it it also seems a little hesitant , i put it down to cold start engine running rich . After about 30 seconds seems perfect . I ve got a couple of mates with 182 and they all do similar .:)

Let it warm up for god sake.

Its not a common fault, its the design of the engine management.

Typically i get the following situation with my 182:
  • 1500rpm idle for approx 2-10 min
  • Lack of power between 1500-4000 rpm for 2-10 min
If you attempt to hoon it from cold it will kangaroo.

(this depends on temp obviously)

Is that so?

I've noticed mine has been a bit reluctant in the morning recently. For the first few mins driving the engine seems to pick up less smoothly. Can't say I noticed the same in the winter, it is 500 miles off a service though.
