182 manfiold fitting to 172 guide?

Everybodys comments and methods for this fitting please..

And does anybody have dimensions for the link pipe that needs to be fabricated?

Its not that big a deal to drop the subframe when you think about it. Ball joints and the rack bolts then its just the 4 main bolts and it'll hit the deck.

Theres only two that I know of (haven't done it on an RS only the non) and yes otherwise the steering column will hold the rack/subframe to the car.

there 4 on the steering rack iirc, supose you could just undo the pinch bolt also. I had trouble removing my sub frame when doing the clutch. I didnt know the steering rack had to be taken off.

Never thought about that and just looking it up do that, waaaaay easier than pissing about the with the inaccessible rack bolts.

So how long should it take with...

1 bloke who builds his own race cars

my dad who knows his shiz

me :rolleyes:

a factory fully of tools

and a car lift

I reckon 20 mins with a tea break :rasp: LOL

I may take a few photos and write up a guide on how to do this?

The link pipe shouldnt be a problem, as were fiting the manifold in one of the Magnex R&D bays.. suppose my Dad working there has its perks ;)
