182 noise

Ive just brought a clio 182 trophy and there seems to be a strange whiseling noise coming from the engine at 2000rpm onwards is this normall if anyone can shed a bit of light on this that would be great.

Does it sound like air going into an engine ?

it sounds like a air leak its really loud above 2000rpm

Get your head under the bonnet and have someone rev it ?? check the airbox and the bend to the TB. Erm ... the manifold sensors. Who knows.

Or of course you could take it to Renault

i did that and it seemed to be coming from around the alternator area i thought it was the air filter its not that in the bend it was dripping with oil ive booked in to ren on tuesday

oh yeah it seems to be under powered
