i have a whining noise on start up which lasts around 10 secs. any1 know of what it could be. its only when the engine is cold. cheers.

Can you get someone to start the engine and you have a listen, see if it comes from the rear of the engine or the driver side near the belts. It could be the starter motor solonoid sticking if its from the rear.

moisture on the fanbelt probably

are you sure it's not all the time.
If it is then all Ph2172 and 182 do it.
It's the stepper motor in the throttle body activating. thats all. nothing to worry about
