182 noisy power steering

Just started happening in the mornings for the past couple of weeks. Noticed it when backing out of my drive. Doesn't seem to happen after driving it for a while and don't notice it later in the day if it's been standing at work. Is the pump on it's way out, if so how much are they?

Is it on full lock? My sister's used to make a funny sort of "squealing" noise on full lock, turns out it was the pump on its way out, over £700 to get done at Reno!!

Hmmm. I had a new water pump fitted by Renault about 4 months ago. They had to fit a new accessory belt pack etc. Would that be connected?

It's not on full lock just when you turn the wheel when cold.
