182 on A frame

  Clio 182
I am needing to pull my 182 home on an A frame and I was wondering if I would need to remove the front bumper for access. Has anyone done this who can advise if it needs removing or not. Thanks.

You know its illegal I assume?

A-frame is legal only to tow a broken down car to the nearest place of safety, ie first layby or non double yellow line road or whatever you pass from the point you broke down at.

As to how to fit, it depends on how high your car is, they go under the bottom wishbone so compared the height of that to the bottom of the bumper on your car, if its lowered or got a splitter you are likely to be out of luck.

I'm fully aware of the rules and fully aware how my frame works but some cars need the front bumper removing.
Hence my post to see if any other users have managed to recover with the bumper fitted.

You will just about get away with it if its standard height and no splitter I reckon.
