182 problem/query

Since ive been driving around with both windows down..... I get in the car drive away everything seems fine, then i change gear and i can hear this loud clunk/ squeek its everytime i hit the biting point, in first and second and ocassionly 3rd and is alot worse when my car is underload.

Then today i get in drive off go over a fairly big speed bump i hear this metalic bang and a rediculous loud squeek when i come of the bump.

Problem seems to go away as the car gets warmed up

Tghis happen to anyone else?

My first thoughts are gearbox mount or exhaust??????

sounds like mount to me! let go of gear nob and limit it! do u get lot of gear stick movement and hear the noise?

Thats the thing ive not noticed any funny buisness from the mechanics it seems to run fine it only happens when it reaches the bite point, that point of engagement,

If it was the mount wouldntit do it all the time? it only seems to be a from cold thing!

Could it be movement in the exhaust? I know that when parts heat up they expand does this apply to gearbox mount?.......
