182 rust

Hi guys, had service on my 182 yesterday, whilst in my mechanic spotted surface rust behind the offside headlamp area..has any one else spotted anything of the same??? i was under the impression these cars are galvanized am i wrong??..not very impressed as car as just turned 36k and aint even 3 yrs old yet..do you think i have any claim under the corrosion warrenty as i havnt had a chance to check my warrenty book yet..

aslog as the rust is coming from the inside out and the car hasant had body work then yes it is covered so go to your dealer and dont take no for an anser

well i would say it hasnt come from the inside out but i wouldnt expect rust to appear in the engine bay behind the light..its not like its really exposed..its surface rust but if the bodywork is galvanized rust should not be present..

yeah i will, but i bet they give me just as much greif as getting the new steering wheel..that was a joke aswell...

rust! i thought these cars were made entirely of plastic!

Not good on a car of that age....could be due to a bad repair job.

I'd take it to the dealers and ask them a few questions
