Without completly replacing every part under the bonnet ?
will prolly mean replacing everything bar the block... but if people can get 800+bhp from an Evo then the Clio can easily do 500+bhp on a 2.0l turbod engine with the limited space.
You have to replace everything under the pulsars bonnet to get that sort of power.Quote: Originally posted by _KDF on 07 May 2004

£3.75k I think it worked out to be.
There was a recient post on the company.
There are other ways to power.
TB make 230 with head work for ~£4k
£6k for 260hp turbo with 300hp potential begin possible with further work.
£4,650 for the 172 conversion FITTED... ouch .. isnt one for 182 yet but lookin like 250 bhp !!
The 172 and 182 engine are almost the same it wouldnt be much different installing the turbo on a 172 or a 182.Quote: Originally posted by mauricewt on 07 May 2004

250 is only realy economically possible with T/Bs (£3.5k) turbo (£6k) or supercharger (£5k)
Ooops soory I wite things in the wrong order I meant to say you cannot get 240 from the normal bits you need T/B (+ extra work) or forced induction.Quote: Originally posted by Roamer on 08 May 2004

I personally think you should not put forced induction onto a N/A frontwheel drive car i think you should go with throttle bodies my opinion they are alot better simply because the fact that its alot more driveable.
Every time i phoned up weston motorsport, bbpt and k-tec they kept trying to flog me a turbo conversion when i was enquiring about a 2.0L they make out they are good to try and flog them but how do you get rid of all the extra heat produced by the turbo. And then you have the problem of it boosting halfway round a corner and the wheels spinning up and you loosing control, fast cornering is about balance which is very difficult to get right if a car is coming on and boost round corners.
A nice supercharger will sort that out
Im anNA man myelf...to teh death, but your making out frced induction to be far worse than it really is.Quote: Originally posted by Snufty on 09 May 2004
