182 vs 172 manifold

Howdy fellas!

I have a custom 2.5'' inox exhaust with a 200 cat on my 172 mounted on an 182 manifold.
Works really well but it is way toooo loud.
So do you believe Is it reasonable to install again the 172 manifold and stock muffler (that I have from the previous owner) or it is gonna cost a big throttle response drop?

Can you have an extra muffler added to the exhaust?

I guess right now you have one muffler at the rear? If so, you could have another fitted in the centre.

Depending on how big your centre section is, could you accommodate a bigger one in there?
