182 Waiting times

Can people please post the length of time they had to wait on a new UK 182? I am having problems getting a hold of one in less than 12 weeks!

I spoke to my local Renault Stealer, sorry dealer, and he said if I ordered now, I would be looking at December delivery at the earliest....

Mines due in 2 weeks. In total it will have been approx 14 weeks waiting

Ordered mine Aug 19th, told end Sept (4-6 weeks), then told Oct 10th, on Oct 8th told it would now be 16th NOV to the dealer, not to me. All very good of them seeing as i sold my car private half way through Sept. and been hiring one since.

Once i was told it would be Nov i went back on autotrader website to see about getting one elsewhere to see that they were advertising them in stock, (same company, new-car-discount). Ordered one of those instead, different spec, told 7-10 days, this was week ago last Monday. After a load more lies and excuses they finally admited today that there was no such car. Have now seen my @rse with them and told them to return deposit pronto.

9 weeks later i am still no nearer getting one as i was then, except now ive already sold mine.

ADVICE: dont go near NEW-CAR-DISCOUNT, just a bunch of useless, lying cowboys, IMO of course.

I bought my 172 from new-car-discount. I had to wait for fooking ages too.(has more to do with the backlog of orders caused by the factory shutdown than NCD though in all fairness).

I had to do all the chasing regards delivery times etc, not sure if theyd have even told me it was going to be delivered if I hadnt have phoned them to find out!!!

^^^Yes but they didnt even know the factory had a shut down till i told them, thats how much they know about the business that they are in.

Totally agree about service, they never ring when they promise, when you ring them they just make up what they think you want to hear.

Theyve had £500 of mine for 9 weeks (how much has that lost me, and earned them), multiply that by the number of mugs,sorry, customers that they have, quite a tidy sum.

I wouldnt mind so much if they were honest with you at the start and tell you its going to be 12-13 weeks, but to tell you its going to be 4-6 weeks and then you go and sell your own car based on that is ever so slightly annoying.

And they tell lies about the cars they are advertising as being in stock, they dont exist.

Reg Vardy say a 182 non cup in Racing blue will take at least till Decemberbut if you put down 35% you get 0% APR over three years

Looking at 5800 deposit and £288 per month for three years then it would be yours

A cup even longer, unless you take an ex demo

I was lucky to find a 4,000 mile old 182 that had been traded back in as the owners wife was just pregnant with his 3rd kid so he bought a scenic!!

I got mine on Tues and was originally told that itd be a 10 week wait. Luckily there was a cancelled order so it tok about 6 weeks!

Ive had mine sinch March and had to wait for 8 weeks which is spot on with what i was told.I had my hopes built up after being told it was coming on the 6th week but it ended up being 8 weeks like they originally said so no complaints.

ordered a 182 cup 2 weeks ago and waiting until early december so bout a 10 week waiting list, hopefully woth the wait tho

I reckon it should be 16 weeks at most.


I ordered mid-June and would have got the car at the beginning of October but stuff went wrong with it at the dealers. So it would have been 14 weeks but ended up being 16 weeks.

However if you order now the waiting list will be longer than the list I faced because I ordered before the factory shut down in August - they took a months worth of orders but built no cars so that could have added a few more weeks to the wait.

Mine was ordered mid september and is due 18th November - Dealer rings me every week to let me know the progress

Call from dealer recieved today, ordered car 16th Aug, told delivery would be 29th Oct.Telephone call today giving me reg number etc, delivery will be on time

Try http://www.barkerspreston.com/Here they are imports but they have cup bits but have no alarm, locking wheel nuts or etching. They have some in stock (only black or silver though)

Sorry, just checked site, they have none left!!! Could contact them though as they get stock in all the time. I got mine from there btw

Imports cannot have Cup bits.

The team cars might be the only way round this as there Cupped as normal.

Imports CAN have cup bits, and barkers do still have some in stock, they have just given them their own section along with the meg 225 under renaultsport at the bottom of the home page.

Forgot to ask, does anybody know how these importers are constantly getting deliveries but you have to wait 12-13 weeks from Reno. I think Reno France are pulling a fast one by making enough to go around but seem to be rationing them to G.B., wonder why?
