i've done this change several times on different cars. Just gives a little more grip really. No downsides, no less sidewall so it's no harsher, and 195/50/15 are so much cheaper

The 185/55/15's im looking at are 2nd hand anyway so a bit cheaper.

Didn't relise how much cheaper the tyres were. Thanks, will be buying 4 new ones from my next pay
