19 16V ECU in clio

  clio williams, Ph1 172

After having ecu problems I managed to get hold a Renauly 19 16V ecu from a phase 2.

Do you know if there is any difference? I noticed the chips inside looked like they were placed different. Will the power and torque be the same? I swear it feels quicker now, or am i just kiddin myself!

I think ive posted about this before. Check the serial codes on the bottom of the ECU. If they are the same as the one on your existing ECU then you will have no problem. If they are different then there will be problems. If your car is running ok though I would assume the ECU is compatible and shouldnt cause any trouble. The earlier clios had a cold start injector and this needs to be accounted for in the ECU. I put a new ECU in my valver a couple of weeks ago and it feels quicker too but know im just imagining things.
