Yeah it was a Mk2 172 with Team Dynamics Diablos on it. It wasnt lowered but apparently had no scrubbage and full(ish) lock! (Would look sh!t if not lowered though)
Any fool can get 19s on a car. But to make it driveable and look decent is another story entirely. There is nothing worse than seeing a motor on big rims and standard ride height. You can get away with it on 15s and 16s just, any bigger and it starts to look like a roller skate. In fact if I ever see anyone driving around in a car like that I shout abuse at them.
Unless the car was designed for 19s though you can never make it handle as well as the original car, i dont think peeps with 19s care about driveablity though!
Ive never fitted aftermarket alloys/tyres before. If i bought new, lower profile tyres how would i know how much air would be needed in them? Sorry if its a dumb question but i am well..er..dumb
could be worse, Paul Neal has put 19"s on a Saxo VTR, hes had to remove most of the metal behind the raised arch extesions, the boot has been cut back by a considerable amount and a plate welded on to cover the big hole left from the work (so effectively, hes now got a very odd shaped boot)
drivability of a saxo on 17s is SHI*E, i dread to think what it would be like on 19s - thants of course, if he drives it anywhere
