i work at renault and we get cars in all the time that have never been serviced at a renault dealer and they can still claim items under warranty if within 3 years/60k.
its a bit of pisser because you know they only ever use the dealers for free stuff and you do just feel like telling them where to go sometimes!!
but we have come across faults that happen outside of the warranty period that renault customer services will still contribute towards. they are more likey to pay for something if you have always have your servicing and repairs carried out at the main dealers. we have know renault customer services to contribute on repairs on cars/vans up to 5/6 years old and even paid towards a 51 plate kangoo th other day with 100k + on the clock but he'd never taken his van anywhere else and it was a reoccuring fault.
