  Whichever has fuel
The guy Bought my house from has a driving school, and he runs the usual corsa cdti's, clio dci's etc.

But if he thinks the customer would appreciate it, he teaches in his Black dual controlled 197! Madness!!

i'd have failed if i learnt in a 197 because i'd think gona be a good few years before i can afford one of these so may aswell have some fun in it, then probably fail for driving too fast.

Saw a driving school had got a 197 today. bet thats fun :)

What a t**t, it must cost him a fortune to run, therefore his lessons are either too expensive, or he is a crap instructor trying to drum up trade, would be wise to steer clear of instructors like that, imho ;)

There used to be an instuctor my way that had a Mk5 Astra Convertible. and used to let the learners learn with the roof down!

Yeah like I said then, trying to drum up trade.....still he must spend most of his money on running/buying the car;)
seems a little stupid to me?

There is a guy round my way with a fiesta ST look-a-like, its really a turbo-diesel but most learners don't know the difference lol, he's busy and has low running costs :)
Now thats a clever guy ;)

I feel sorry for the poor buggers when they pass.

All they will be able to afford to insure is a 1.2 nova i'd never pass on purpose.

there is a brand new focuese st round here what is used for learning in bit silly i think
Nothing wrong with them the price the places pay and the fact they have to sit in them might as wll have a nice car. the power isn't an issue.
not good for learning as the 197 has a problem with kangeroo, ing lol mine still catches me out lol
Get the new ECU mpas put on and its much better,
No me neither, far too much power for a newbie driver.
Pfft I learnt in an AMG lol. Teaches you a lot more respect for the car than if you learnt in a small one imo :)
There no best car I know someone who learned in an a landrover with a none sequenchail box now that teaches you a lot.

I know others who have learned in new 5 series BMW's etc the best thing is to get a wise rinage of driving conditions and cars IMO.

  RB 182
I learnt in a Corsa Di lol

We have a Zetec S TDCi Fiesta come into work, and he's swapped his alloys for steelies to stop them getting cubed which i think is a good idea!

You can take a driving test in a convertable, as with all cars they get tested by the DSA, i know the MINI convertable failed though cos the rollover hoops were too obstructing when reversing

My old instructor now teaches in a Red Vxr Corsa and a Red Vxr Astra - the b**ch used I 1.2 corsa sxi when I was learning about 4 years ago grr!!

Mino convertable failed as a rear seat examiner who testing an examiner cannot have good enough visiability you can have a car with no rear visiability and still pass your test its the examinor who might examin the tester who needs to be able to see.

Thanks FunkyMunky, I was going to ask the same thing ?

Surely you must be able too, just maybe not with the roof down?

Ford KA convertible and Mini convertible due to the lack of all-round vision for the examiner, so it says on the DSA website :)
Not all are banned, someone round here does tests in a 206cc....hair dresser, no doubt ;)

but not with roof down....might upset the examiners hair ;)

We have a driving school here called the "WRX Driving School".

You can guess what they use.

Its a gimmick that appears to get them plenty of customers.

Well, a lot of a certain sort of customer anyway.
