197 Owners Help!

  Renaultsport Mégane R26
Was just wondering what you all think of the OEM Continental Sport Contact 3's which come on your cars?

My Megane R26 is requiring some new fronts and I was wondering how you guys have got on with the tyre?

I love the Michelin Pilot Sport 2's which were standard fit to my Megane, but I might be able to get a good deal on the Continentals, so any comments are welcome regarding the Continentals!

Thanks for your help,

Dave

Owned the car for nearly a week and havent really given it a lot of stick but going round the roundabouts it did seem very grippy, not sure if anyone else can offer a little more help mate.

I've clocked up 3.5 k on my tyres now, they seem to be wearing well on the back, and acceptable on the front. From my previous 172 though, I ditched the continentals as the tyre walls are to thin and they dont overhang the rim like other makes such as Uniroyal. It would have to be a real steal for me to replace like for like, but in answer I suppose to your original question......no problems with the contact 3 tyres, car not broken away in wet, although I wouldnt run them at the suggested psi or they just spin.I just dont rate the brand.
