1994 1,8 rsi clio gearbox trouble

my gearbox grinding been quoted £400+ to fix anybody heard of cir clips ?? ive been told that they may resolve anybody help

Thats rather a lot IMO (unless that includes removal/refit of engine which i'm not entirely sure you need to do on the RSI) - just get a second hand box instead of fixing it...cost about 100.

cheers bud, £400+ is for second hand box plus fitting, garage reckon i need new clutch at same time, they also say engine has to come out to fit gearbox. thanks
