1999 renault laguna, any good?

My mother currently has a vectra SRI 140,2.2. Which obviously uses a lot of fuel...

Its too expensive for her to run, so she's put it up for sale.

Anyway, someone has offered to swap a 1999 laguna for it.

Anyone know what like these are, and is there any common faults?

Cheers!

Can't bring myself to have any love for the mk2 laguna. The mk1 was so good it just left the new one feeling very mediocre IMO

  Whichever has fuel
I had a mk1 phase 1 with a 2.0 16v engine. I loved that car and it was like brand new!

I fitted 18's, lowered it, Airflow spoiler, K&N, nearly £4,000's worth of audio..... God I loved that car. Then my mate wrote it off. :(

Its a 1600 engin. Guessing its a petrol. Waiting for the man to send photos but I'm not actually with mother just now so its hard to get info.

Guy says the engine was reconditioned last year and its got 85k on the clock
