Clio cup 172
I've noticed that I get a slight crunch in 1st gear when I change too quick. If I take my time it doesn't crunch. I've noticed that my gear linkage is almost hanging off underneath so I've ordered a repair kit.do you think this will cure problem or is my 1st gear synchro on way out. Strange as I can't find any threads where 1st gear synchro has went on any gearboxes. If it is the synchro,will thicker oil help it? If so what grade as its due gearbox oil change anyhow.
All other gears are fine and there's no crunching at high revs
