1st Time Camera Buyer...

I want to get a camera for general use but also for a good few car photos, meets, etc. As its going to be my first camera that i have bought i dont want any thing too expensive as i may end up just not bothering with it in the long run. i have around a £100 budget for one and wondering what you guys think will be best for my money? I have seen a samsung ES74 14mp 5x zoom for £79.00 which seems to be good. Any advice on what camera for my budget?
