I am not on the iphone contract, I have my own 02 contract simcard on there..........

Therefore cannot simply upgrade.

I've been testing this today and it's great. Haven't found one song yet that it could not identify.

I tried an obscure local band from cambridge who released a single album and it found that! Seriously impressive!

give it time and yes it will, software had been unlocked even before it was released officially.
