As tempting as it is, and i can easily afford it, no for now. As said earlier in the thread i'm saving for a house deposit, so the more i can put in that, the better. £250 a month, then tax/insurance/fuel is more than i'd want to spend on a car that only gets used for visiting the gf etc. Also worth remembering that the 172 Cup still has the go too As nice as a 200 is, i need to hang on to the Cup, then maybe see what Renault offer in 2011/12, as the Mk4 should be out then

Thats not bad at all.

Its a new plate (september) standard cup, GWhite, ac, speedlines, recaros.

although lookers did say it was an extra 1k for fullfat with, speedlines, recaros.

I wonder if that deal is mileage dependent, I would like to pay £3775 (£2k for my car) over 24 months to own a brand new 200 and then hand it back and start again with another car BUT I travel 25k miles per annum.

I'd expect so, it's normally 10-12k max, expensive charges if you go over.

The £999/£199 deal is basd on 6k per annum, however you can up it to 25k - the GFV will drop of course, hence you'll have higher payments.

I'd guess around £100 more..

Do bear in mind 200 deliveries are now mid September

You only get charges if you hand the car back to the finance company. If you PX or sell the car privately the agreed milliage should not be an issue.

I think this is crazy. Renault charge 6p a mile over the agreed milliage. So to up his millage to 25k a year will increase his monthly payment to say £300 at least. If he was to say ok to 6k a year and he then goes and does 25k a year he would be charged £1140 in excess millage, making is montly payment a max of £294.

And he would only have to pay the excess millage charge if the finance take the car back or he terminates the contract early, but as said before if you PX the car or sell private no charge will be due. The only thing that would have changed is the second hand value of the car.

yep, it's 5k miles per annum on the Lookers deal, on 48k miles per annum minus 10k miles I would pay them £2280/24 months = £95 per month but it's how much a 48k mile 2 year 200 is worth that's the key, I can sell private/Dealer anywhere to pay the £8725 off.
Say I get £7500 for it, then I have paid £1025 for my extra mileage.
cheaper than the £2280.
