Its a bugger, it will no doubt have been repaired at the dealership from new, little knock on the car transporter usual BS that happens to so many new cars and is covered up. It boils my p*ss, its hardly a *new* car if its been repaired at some point.....alot of the factory painting processes are done "wet on wet", which really is a much better process as your not relying on scruffing & surface imperfections as your bond between paint finishes, so get your timings right and it gives superb adhesion between layers.
Its likely they will do a cheap spot repair & a lacquer blend, you'll be none the wiser, like they probably did before lol. Personally id be insisting on a full strip and spray, then Id be marking my bumper with something you can polish off(if needed), in a few choice areas, well away from the area in question taking photos of the said marks and then you'll be able to see whats been done when you pick it up.
Id also been insisting no bloody blends into the bonnet & wings (esp with RB)......you want a good matching paint as close as it was from the factory, the more they paint the more risk later down the line for it going south.
