2001 Clio 1.5 DCi Reverse Beep

  1.5 DCi
Hello!

First post on here, but a regular user of other forums.

Just bought a cheap runaround in the form of a 1.5DCi Clio (2001)

My problem is, when I stick it in reverse it beeps - it's a loud beep that seems to come from the passenger side rear light cluster, and to be honest I'm pretty embarrassed when it occurs  I thought it was just a reversing sensor, but when I get closer to things the beep doesn't change, so I ruled that out.

Ideally I want to turn it off/mute it so it's not present when the car is in reverse.

Any help appreciated!?

Chris.

Is it audible outside the car?

If so sounds like someone has put in a warning buzzer - like those found on lorries!

Find it, and remove!

I managed to source the problem myself...I didn't know they existed but it was a bulb that has a beeper on it too warn people you're reversing

Swiftly changed that to stop me looking like a bellend, and the noise has gone haha.

Thanks for your help though!
