2002 interior in a 1999 Clio

  Recaro Black Gold 182
Will a Dynamique 2002 interior fit in to a 1999 Ph1 Clio, are they easy enough to fit or is it best to get hold of someone who knows what they are doing...?

Cheers

Cheers Mitch :D

I was looking for full 172 sports interior but they dont seem to come about very often, might hold out a bit longer then.

But its a piece of p*ss to fit them, yeah?

I have 2003 Dynamique interior in my 2000 Clio. Its a straight forward swap but the wiring is different. You just have to change some wires around to get the seatbelt light and pretensioners to work. The new seats have different connectors for heaters, side airbags etc.

Yeah its really easy mate, just gotta have a little fiddle about with the wires but thats simple enough to do. Would deffinately wait around to get hold of a full sports interior. you will love it!

I have 2003 seats in my 1999 clio and got round this problem by using the original pretensioners(1999 ones) no problems with lights coming on etc....

What have you done about the front doorcards ?

Im tempted to wait, have you got the sport interior if so have you got any pictures Mitch..?
Why yes I have Chorley, but mine are rarer than rare. They are full leather from the Renault Sport Clio 172 Exlcusive, of which only ermm............172 were made. :D

Yeah, looks good. How do you get the bench seats out of the back, i cant see anything obvious?

again a piece of cake, well should be. 1st remove the seats, then you have to push the backs down, you will see a black plastic thing in the boot, this covers a bit cross braise. Think there is a bolt either end. you need to undo both of these, they were bloody tight on mine because they are exposed to the elements underneath, then take the bar out and you will see what the seat backs are held in with. A locating bolt (the gold one iirc) and the one closest to the boot you need to take out then then they just slide out, very simple and the back door cards are quite easy too. Take out the seat belt bolt in the door card and pull them off.
If I was you I'd loosen those bolts off when you have some free time, and clean them up and put them back in, will give you an idea of what else you need to do when you come to do it and yourll all excited and in a rush :D
