200bhp clio

  R35 GTR
Pointless getting your car to 200bhp, hardly any difference worth shouting about.

Strip the car, upgrade the brakes and suspension and learn to drive it.

Rubbish

I couldnt get under a 15 second quarter mile till i had cams, inlets head etc etc installed. Last outing at Crail it ran a 14.4 with full interior and heavy ICE install ! blew my mates R32 Golf into the weeds. Few more tweeks and if i stripped it times would come further down again

200 bhp makes a hell of a difference
woohoo! 0.6 seconds.;)

Being pulled back into your seat and struggling with torque steer is more fun than an edging past someone in a drag race.

I would be a hypocrite to say not to tune the car. Just don't do it for a measly 200bhp, go all out if you are prepared to spunk 2.5k for 200bhp, may as welll go for an extra couple of grand for TB's or a little more still for turbo.

I would wait a while too as most of the usual suspect's..(GDI,angelworks, ktec etc) are developing new mods for the engine. I also suspect as the demand increases the cost will come down.

Dosent sound a lot but then again when you see a car worth upwards of 25k with 240bhp that was sitting right next to you then 5 seconds later its now visable in your rear view mirror it puts it all into perspective :rasp:

From reading on here TB'd up 172 / 182's arnt breaking into the 13's so do the math ;)
