2500-3200rpm flatspot!

Hi all,

My starter motor is playing up again so Im gonna get it in to a dealer and demand a new one, but while its there I wanna get them to look at this flat-spot the car seems to have noticably when cold. When you get to 2500-ish RPM until just after 3 the car car seems to struggle through and then picks up fine above that. You really notice it in 1st and 2nd, and not so much in 3rd. When the car is fully warmed up it doesnt really seem to do it but its really winding me up!

anyone got any ideas what it might be?!?

thanks all

its a 1.2 16v, looking at both of my old power graphs from rolling road days, mine had exactly the same, though, on another hand, i never exerienced it, mainly because i drove the car above those revs all the time ;)

lol, my mate said that when i told him - reckoned the renault technician wud just point to the 1.2 on the top of the motor!

thing is, when its cold and you hit those revs, its more than a flatspot, it really does seem to miss a bit and struggle thru those revs before picking up and then revving properly.
