What are the dimensions of your smaller front reg plates :rasp:

And is it compulsory to even have a front reg plate???

Places like fancyplates.com sell 3/4 plates they have the dimensions on their site.

I have just done a set of plates for a customer and they were
390mmx 825mm, that is ratiod down prop;erly form the legal size of 520mm, hope this helps

Yes it is compulsory to have a front reg plate!

As for the dimensions I can't remember exactly but mine is still road legal as it has the mandatory 11mm border around the lettering.

Yeah I thought that but didn't want it to just crack over time and drop out? Maybe I'll have to put something on the rear of the bumper for the filler to adhere to first...hmmm... job for this weekend I think!
