3/4 Height Personalised Plate - Opinions?

  Nissan Jewk
I'm getting a personalised plate within the next fortnight, only thing is, its only 4 characters. Thing is, I love the 3/4 height plates, but I get the feeling with only 4 characters, this will stand out to attention even more - or will it?

Should I opt for it? :S

Must be a pretty expensive plate with only four characters on it. Mine is 5 with a suitably trimmed plate that follows the line of the bumper.

This is with legal spacing, legal height and legal font. Think it looks ok, so Go for it!!

  182 has now gone!
My boyfriend got stopped in my car the other week for my 3/4 plate.. It has been on there for a good few months now with no probs, but I better change it back as I dont want a £60 fine.

Fancyplates will do you one cut down to an 11mm border, the minimum you are legally able to go to.

With a standard sized font, this is still noticeable smaller (especially on a short plate) so should look fine and not get you stopped!

I've been uhhming and ahhhing about getting a new front plate

I want standard font with no borders or bottom text or GB thing etc..

the cut down one looks good, shame that you still need a 100mm height plate for the 90mm recess :(

As soon as I get my transfer docs and new V5, i'm gonna get some ordered... the plate is worth 3 times the value of my car! LOL!

That looks really good IMO

I'd leave it alone tbh, if you have the plate too short it'll look naff because of the recesses on the bumper, full plate with just the four characters will look nice.

So, other than keeping it bog standard, is there any other way or modifying the plate and keeping it road legal? Or is the only option to keep the whole thing standard?
