Well I crossed over 30,000 a few weeks ago now so thought I would post up some pictures of my Clio over the 2 years I've had it. I was planning to get rid of it when I got my next car, but I've changed my mind on what car I want to get next so it means I will be able to keep it as the other car isn't suitable as an every day car!
Renault Leceister had this thing back in their showroom back in July of '05, so I went to have a look.
I placed a £200 deposit down over the phone a couple of days later. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to pick the car up for another couple of months which was annoying but luckily the dealer didn't sell it in the mean time and kept it for me!
Finally got it all sorted and picked it up on 19th October 2005, it was raining which was unfortunate but it was a brilliant time. My car only had 9 miles on the clock!
(Other pics are of it waiting for me in the yard)
Next day I took some photos and then headed out to Donington at the weekend to take some more.
Had a sunny day so managed to see Inferno in all its glory!
Its first big trip came in the form of a journey down to Norfolk for Xmas. Dad got his XK8 in November so him and my Mum travelled down in that and I followed in mine.
Then on February 5th, at 7am on a Sunday morning no less, some stupid woman caused this:
Which meant I was without my car for a good three weeks while they sorted it. Luckily the damage was only superficial and it was good as new when I got it back. Had only done roughly 4,500 miles in the car at this point!
Got the car stickered up for the trip down to Le Mans...
I'd had a fund that I'd saved up hoping to get an exhaust put on the car. But obviously I got caught speeding on the way down to Le Mans. 142mph resulted in my licence being taken off me, and a £500 fine!
Manged to get involved with the Tunnel Runs down in London and met a load of great people, and had a lot of fun as well!
Took the car to some place in Leeds to take some photos:
Went for a drive North of Leeds and it started snowing, was fun!
Nice picture from a Dawn Tunnel Run taken by a Mr Tim Hutton:
Got a personalised reg for my 21st so went to the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham to take a few pictures.
Back up to Leeds and another drive this time around Castleford area:
And here we are today, freshly cleaned, its been utterly fantastic and only ever had the temperature sensor go wrong with it.
Probably the most memorable moment in the car was Le Mans, or the time I was blatting around with an E36 BMW M3 and a Mosler after a Tunnel Run. Crazy crazy fun that was.
