3rd gear crunch, advice please

Hi. After a bit of advice really. My gearbox crunches into 3rd quite a bit even when I'm not rushing the synchros. I want to take it into Renault evens hellshite where I got it from and get it sorted. But my cars been put on coilovers, do you think they will not replace under warranty? Its got 14k on the clock and is a 59 plate. I know some of you will think this is a stupid question but this is a renault stealership we are talking about here.

They will wriggle there way out of it through any revenue of doubt that its not standard..

Like Fred said, Change the suspension back first!

You'll have to change it mate. They'll probably just give you some bullshit reason as to how your suspension has affected the gearbox

Before I installed them, I went in and asked what the issues with warranty would be. Man said that it would void anything suspension related, I dont think gearboxes are related to suspension so surely I could have a good old fassioned argument with the dealer? i really dont want to go have them removed again unless its necessary.

Are there any known issues with the TL4 box? Like them being made from play dough?

TL4 box - yeah its crap

they'll argue the lowness of the vehicle has put extra stress on the driveshafts and hence the gearbox, i wouldn't risk it

They will try and wriggle out of it any way possible, guy I know had a 197 cup which started crunching from 1st into 2nd, the dealers answer to this was "Change gear slower" so he gave up and bought a Corsa. Personally I'd have had a loud argument about it in front of customers and watch them run to fix it.

I seriously think the TL4 box is worse than the JC5, Fred. Might get Mum involved lol, as pathetic as it sounds, shes f**king awesome at being a customer. Even when not rushing the synchros the box crunches now. Getting irritating now.
